Chicago

Characters

Name: Chase Raisel
Age: 25
Height: 6'2
Weight: 155
Occupation: Used to be in the Mob, now is jobless but lives off of 'retirement money'

Appearance/Clothes
Chase is 6'2" tall, has green eyes and short spiked dirty blond hair.  He is very strong from his brief time in the mob, but the suits that he wears covers it up. He normally has a soft expression which looks more optomistic. Due to not having to do most of the more greusome and heartless jobs he's been spared the moral and emotional torture which shapes the outside as well. He has a long scar on his chest from a knife fight he got into once.

Chase has a few outfits, but being in the mob for a while he's adopted the mobster look of a crisp new looking black suit, blue tie, and shiney balck shoes. He also has other suits of different color, but other than nice ironed suits and shiney shoes he just has only a few normal shirts and jeans.

History:
Chase lived in a nice household with his parents and older brother. While young, Chase became friends with a friend of his parents who was a scholar and teacher, so Chase got a head start on his learning than the other kids.

His older brother was named Misu, and near high school he'd frequently be gone, and sometimes Chase would catch him sneaking into his room with a wad of cash, so naturally Chase inquired. That was the beggining of Chase's relationship with the mob. Chase began with Misu, using their boyish charm and 'innocence' to gather information off the streets, and to make thefts that only a small kid could do.

After a while Misu was quickly promoted using his charisma and strategic planning. Chase rose slowly, but was used for his ideas. Before Chase was incorperated fully into the mob's dirty dealings himself his brother made the top, and was the mob boss (Due to the unfortunate event of the old boss' death). His brother quickly put Chase at his side, and Chase was allowed not to go on the more gruesome jobs, and so was saved the emotional scarring.

But during his time he became proficeint with knives and became very strong due to his brawls (With the other mobsters for 'fun' and on the job).

When Chase reached 25 he decided that he didn't want to be in the mob, it was becoming more and more dirty and dark, and Chase wanted out before he was stuck in. Misu reluctantly agreed, expressing his "dissapointment" but Chase didn't change his mind, so Misu let him go with a lot of 'retirement money' as he called it. Chase got out, but all the while he still felt the mob's long arm around his shoulder, and knew he wasn't out for good.

Weapons:
- A knife that he always carries in his boot, just in case
- A Pistol that he always carries around, a habit from the mob, but he is very good at concealing it, so no one can tell it's there.
- Two Tommy Guns which he keeps at his apartment. He likes these the best of all because of the terror it inflicts upon people (So he usually gets people to 'cooperate', he doesn't like killing, despite being in the mob)

Personality:
He is very caring at times, but very serious at others. He usually is serious out in the normal day, then at night he relaxes out. He is somewhat optomistic and likes to laugh, but it had been a little marred by the mob. During his time in the mob he learned to fight very well due to the many fight's he's gotten into there.

Name: Jayden Zebehazy
Age: 21
Height: 6'0
Weight: 175
Origin: 1/4 German, 3/4 English
Birthplace: Buffalo, New York
Occupation: Dynamo Saxophonist and College Student
Clothes/Stuff:
Jayden has two common outfits.  One is a pinstripe suit with fitting shoes and a hat.

His other outfit is pair of black slacks with a button-down white shirt, sometimes complemented with a matching jacket and tie.

Being a top-notch jazz musician, Jayden has his two favorites on hand at most times.  One is an Alto Saxophone, and the other a shorter Soprano Sax.  Also, he carries his other favorite possession, a Colt .45: black with silver for the shell eject.  He has room for one in each of his saxophone cases, as well as room for one on himself.  But he only keeps two on his, though plenty of ammo.  *Explained in the history*

Description: Jayden is a six-foot-tall, 175-pound skinny sort-of-guy with black hair, short and spiked in the front, with green eyes, and a very icey tinge of green at that.  He doesn't exactly have a hard-face, nor a soft gentle one at that, but rather somewhere in the middle, though long in the face *like many Baritones*  He has no noticable scars or cuts on his face or arms, nor is he particularly cut, as the fat in his skin covers the muscle he has.  The only exception to this is his legs, which come from being a cross-country runner in high school.

Personality:
A very easily-excitable guy who can mood swing faster than a Californer Surfer Babe, going from fun-loving to serious within seconds.  But his mood changes from event-to-event.

When he's playing, he lets his inner-self loose and plays like a demon, ripping out tunes and solos that he'll play one moment and forget the next.

When he's talking business, he's open-minded, but often stubborn.

And when people try and rough him up, he gets dead serious and dangerous.  He might've grown up the pushover, but lost it the day he woke up glad to be alive.

His loving side, unfortunately for him, is tarnished.  He's the kind of cute guy who blushes and stammers when talking to a nice or a pretty girl and looks away in embarassment.  Few girls have gotten around this, but by that time they're friends, and nothing more.

History:
Jayden Zebehazy was born at Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York at the turn of the century.  Born to two wonderful parents, he grew up in a traditional, conservative Protestant Christian home.  In elementary school, he took up the saxophone and singing as hobbies for the next few years, finding himself enthused with music and rhythm.

In middle school, he got decent grades, mostly for not doing his homework, his time being spent singing in the church's choir and in the school jazz band.  Starting in high school, Jayden dropped singing and took up Saxophone and, at the request of doing sports from his parents, Cross-country.

By the end of high school, Jayden was first chair on the school jazz band and had a job playing at cafes and various other places.  After leaving home, he started college at CSU (Chicago State University) with a full-ride scholarship in music, majoring in Music Theory and Psychology.  Having been mugged and beaten up for his wallet a little over a year and a half ago, Jayden found it necessary to take an interest in self-defense.  And now, with the arrival of the malevolent 'Guns of Lucifer', Jayden has kept himself better armed just in case, as there has been more than one recent incident of musicians trying to stand up against the 'Guns' and being found in the river, who committed 'suicide' in various ways.

Name: Adrian Thurston

Age: 27

Occupation: Bartender

Theme Song: Dunno yet

Appearance: The 6-foot blonde guy with semi-wavy hair. While working the long hours with Chloe he's seen in khaki pants and an apron, with a towel slung over his shoulder. He's Angel-give-him-a-cookie skinny, but is no pushover.

Personality: He likes people, that's why he got such a job serving so many. He enjoys talking to the people who work at his bar, since they come from all over. Since he must operate a business and works where people tend to get far drunk, Adrian keeps a trusty .45 underneath the counter. He wouldn't use it unless he had to.

Other Notes
He has a violin case full of handguns hidden behind the stage in case anyone tries to rob the place or things in general get nasty.

Name: Chloe Avarielle Mairead

Name Meaning: verdant and blooming ; small, strong woman; pearl

Age: 24

Occupation: Singer and part-time waitress at the “Java Jazz” jazzhouse

If She Had a Theme Song, It’d Be: “Short Skirt Long Jacket” by Cake

Appearance: Chloe is of decidedly average height, standing at approximately 5’6” in her bare feet. She has a complexion that is just shy of being honey-colored; her hair is a burnished red-orange that looks closer to brown. She has vibrant blue eyes and longish lashes. Her body shape is pear-like, being small on top with somewhat wide hips and a bit of body fat all over. She usually wears a short flapper-style dress with heeled shoes. When she’s waitressing, she wears a little apron over her clothes. Her most common accessories are a flower behind one ear and perhaps an anklet or earrings, but you’ll rarely ever see her without her long pearl necklace. She wears it doubled around her neck and usually only takes it off to sleep or bathe. Another staple of her wardrobe is her full-length trenchcoat. It was originally a man’s jacket, but someone paid to get it altered for her. (She wears mens’ clothing an awful lot and occasionally borrows things from her close male friends.) While she probably fits most people’s definitions of “pretty”, she is not what people call “beautiful”, and gets a little touchy when people compliment her by calling her as such.

Personality: Chloe is a rather practical person, being fairly concerned about doing what’s “logical” rather than what feels best. She’s more than a bit jaded about the world around her due to the events of her life. Nothing terribly traumatic happened to her, but she’s become less naive and more worldly because of it. (After all, living on just above minimum wage will do a decent deal of damage to one’s rose-colored glasses.) Sometimes she comes off as being bitter or an “ice queen”, but she’s really not. She’s just very cautious about who she puts her faith in and what she says. She’s not comfortable with saying how she feels directly, but she often hints at what she’s thinking through her actions. She has a wry sense of humor, but she does like to laugh. A bit of her softer side still exists within her; she hasn’t repressed it, but she’s careful about who sees it. She trusts her close friends deeply and relies upon their friendship more than she’d like to admit. She is happiest when with friends or singing, and she gets angriest when people start useless fights. Her alliance lies with the Starstruck Dynamos, mostly because she knows them pretty well and thinks the Guns of Lucifer are just being belligerent.

Likes: thunderstorms; strawberries and cream when she can afford it; sweet champagne; men’s clothing

Dislikes: waiflike women; overly macho men; meaningless conflicts or arguments; bad singers

Name: Bowen Donaghue
Nicknames: Bo, Beau, Angel Fingers
Age: 26
Birthplace: Youngstown, Ohio
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Green-Hazel

Bowen was brought up like a country boy, always working hard and earning what he has. He's been into his music as long as he can remember, playing multiple instruments, with a sharp ear, and deep passion. He's mannered, and articulate, sometimes quiet and thoughtful, but when you get him started, he'll talk to you like he'd been stifled for fifty years. He's mischief and comical, with boyish charm. He loves to make people smile. Just dont get on his bad side, or you'll have a violent encounter. He'll make you want want to scream, just sitting there puffing a cigar, with his hat tipped low - he wont say a word, but you can feel his rage through his glare. But if you're lucky enough to have earned his trust, and affection, he's a loving, loyal friend. He's been in Chicago for about two years now, and had immediately gotten a job as a nightime musician for his skill at the piano, and a voice that earns him more attention than he ever intended. He works as a stockboy at a nearby convenience shop during the day, in order to afford to live.

Appearence:  Always clean shaven, and smelling like cologne he most likely can't afford. He typically wears button down collared shirts, with the sleeves rolled up when he's at his instrument, a loosened tie, black slacks, garters, black socks and leather shoes. He also has an unhealthy love for his low brimmed fedora.

Likes: women, cuban cigars, Chopin, rain
Dislikes: confrontations with excessively drunk people (when he himself isn't drunk), cocky musicians, dirt
